Enhancing Fine Motor Skills with DIY Beach Crafts for Kids

At our Denver Autism Care Center, we incorporate simple crafts for kids in our ABA curriculum.

This easy kids craft is fun and builds on our kiddos fine motor skills. This craft includes tasks such as cutting, gluing, painting, and drawing. These tasks improve upon hand-eye coordination and the precision of small muscle movements.

Have your kiddo tap into their inner beach explorer by creating these fun jellyfish decorations at home. Our autism care center in Denver put together step-by-step instructions. Make sure to share your craft on social media when you finish and tag @behaviorfrontiers!

Make Colorado (or Wherever You Call ‘Home’) Feel Like the Beach!

Even though Denver doesn’t have beaches, you can bring the beach to your home!

(After all, jellyfish can’t survive on land – they are ocean animals!)

Set up a small pool in the backyard, fill it with water and sand toys, and let your kiddos splash and build sandcastles.

Create a beach atmosphere with beach towels, umbrellas, and tropical snacks like pineapple and coconut.

Keep your child's creativity flowing with free printable PDF coloring book pages!

You can even have a beach-themed picnic with a blanket and some kid-friendly summer tunes!
