Behavior Frontiers Shines Bright at the Los Angeles Autism Speaks Walk
Behavior Frontiers’ Los Angeles area offices were proud, once again, to sponsor the Los Angeles Autism Speaks Walk! The Pasadena Rose Bowl lit up blue in a big way with thousands of walkers and participants all eager to show their support for the autism community and to raise money for a worthy cause. Organizers anticipated more than 13,000 walkers and friends, the largest in the event’s history.
Our Behavior Frontiers team was involved in every aspect of the day, from running a very busy booth at the resource fair, to hosting a super-fun sand necklace activity with the kiddos, to proudly representing the Behavior Frontiers community on the Walk course.
Our San Gabriel Valley office went above and beyond – they formed a team and raised $2,000, four times more than their original goal!
Clinical Director Joy Wong: “The day was a great success! We had a good turnout of volunteers to help with the booth, and so many visitors having fun making the sand art necklaces. We made a rainbow sand bottle from the sand that spilled onto the table and that ended up being a popular "color". When we ran out of necklaces, Sr. Behavior Therapist Audra Mercado used her creativity and created sensory boxes out of the sand which were a big hit with the kids!”
